hi gilbirds, it's nice to see you again
i'm so sad that everyone left. i'm so sad to only see my name in the chat and i'm so sad to not see anything up in the title when it used to be really long
i miss a lot of things about gilbirds and i don't really think it was rping, i think it was just being there every day
i really miss having the chat up in the top left of my screen and i instinctively click up there, whatever's up there to see if someone's talking in the chat, but i get upset when it's only tumblr or youtube or something
i really miss all the rpers that i tended to not like because they liked usuk and i didn't and i'm so sad that i never learned their names
i miss sitting at my computer when i got home and seeing all my friends in the chat with their special little admin zones and their little brackets and typing quirks and how some people used sup and some used sub
i miss having 200 accounts and everyone dealing with it because that's how many everyone had
i miss when someone would come into the chat for the first time and we'd all introduce ourselves
i miss the bible posts and the rps that we'd have to take to the 2nd chat (and how uncomfortable we'd be not knowing who was in that chat already, maybe someone's having a smut rp in there, it would be awkward to interrupt)
i miss kellan, most of all, and i think he hit very close to him with everyone, and i don't think there's a day we go without even thinking about him, if we knew him or not
gilbirds was one of the first real places that i was known by name, i had many before but i don't think any of them have affected me like gilbirds has. i'm very very grateful that i was ever accepted into this community, i am very grateful that on that little day in january 2 years ago i got in that chat with all the names in it and no one recognized me but all of those names would be the friends that i hold dear even today
thank you very much for being my home and my family, i will never forget the impact this group has had on my life even if it's just a stupid rp group on deviantart. you were my life for 2 years and you're still a piece of it today
sorry for the extremely long post, i just thought i needed to pay my respects for something i love so dearly.
